Phoenix Childrens Hospital Foundation

Support from Catalyst Pain Solutions
Catalyst Pain Solutions is proud to partner with Phoenix Children’s Hospital for their signature fundraising events, the ABC15 Telethon, KTAR Give-A-Thon, and PCH Golf Tournament. As a partner for these events, we are honored to provide both financial and volunteer support to impact the patients at Phoenix Children’s and engage our employees in this great cause. Catalyst Pain Solutions has our team on the phone bank answering calls, on the golf course interacting with attendees and presenting a check on-air for the children at PCH.

Phoenix Children's Hospital Foundation
Phoenix Children’s Hospital is Arizona’s only children’s hospital that is ranked in U.S. News & World Report’s Best Children’s Hospitals. Phoenix Children’s provides world-class inpatient, outpatient, trauma, emergency and urgent care to children and families in Arizona and throughout the Southwest. As one of the largest children’s hospitals in the country, Phoenix Children’s provides care across over 75 pediatric specialties and has 6 Centers of Excellence: The Children’s Heart Center; Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders; Barrow Neurological Institute at Phoenix Children’s, Pediatric Orthopedic Surgery; Level 1 Pediatric Trauma Center; and Newborn Intensive Care Unit. Phoenix Children’s Hospital has continued to meet the needs of our growing community since we opened in 1983.

In 2015 Phoenix Children’s had reached several milestones in its continued growth plan in order to serve Arizona’s burgeoning patient population. This past December the hospital opened another floor in its 11-story Main Campus patient tower, adding 48 beds. When the tower opened in 2011, its top three floors were shelled and reserved for future growth, ensuring the organization was equipped to grow alongside demand for its services. Finally, before the year ended Phoenix Children’s Hospital was thrilled to break ground on a new expansion for a state of the art Emergency and Trauma Department. The expansion will include 63 exam rooms and expand emergency services capacity to 100,000 patients per year within five years.

Some examples of areas in the hospital that are entirely philanthropically funded include: 1 Darn Cool School; a K-12 school staffed by master level teachers with Special Education certification, so our patients can receive the highest quality education while they remain in our care. Another example, would be The Emily Center Library; the largest pediatric consumer health library in the southwest and a vital resource to our patient families and the entire community. Without philanthropic support, this would not be possible. Additionally, more than half of Phoenix Children’s patients are Medicaid beneficiaries, making Phoenix Children’s the single-largest provider of pediatric services to low-income children in Arizona. Phoenix Children’s provided more than 50 percent of uncompensated care to patients in 2014. These are just a few examples of how crucial your funding would help support our hospital and community in so many ways.

ABC15 Telethon
ABC15 hosted its 5th Annual ABC15 Telethon benefiting Phoenix Children’s Hospital on April 12, 2016, broadcast live from the Hospital campus. The telethon included ABC15 on-air personalities, a phone bank staffed by sponsors and community volunteers, celebrity appearances and inspirational stories shared by our superhero patients. Donors had the opportunity to become a Hero for Hope by giving a superhero gift to a patient in their name. Every dollar raised during the ABC15 Telethon will have a direct impact on patient care and critical programs and services provided to patients and families.
KTAR Give-A-Thon
